I recently attended a lovely wedding. The couple were sweethearts for 13 long years before they finally decided to tie the knot. Theirs was a story of High School Puppy love that evolved into something solid and genuine – a kind of love that most of us long for. My husband and I were invited to be their wedding’s candle sponsors and we couldn’t be happier.
Here’s the look I wore during the wedding. I didn’t have enough time to go to the salon to get my hair and makeup done, so I did it myself.
I kept everything simple by pairing a neutral eyes with a dusty rose lips. This has always been my default look whenever I attend weddings and I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of it. BUT, did you notice something odd? Yes, I totally forgot to put on mascara! I only noticed it when we were already at the reception!
I bought my outfit the night before the wedding, because really, I didn’t have time. I was originally going to wear a salmon pink maxi dress, but decided against it at the last minute because the color just doesn’t fit the motif, which is old rose. It would’ve been okay if I wasn’t part of the entourage. So yes, I went to the mall at the last minute and grabbed the very first old rose maxi skirt I could find. I then paired it with a beige lacey off-shoulder. I didn’t even bother to fit both garments, but I’m glad they turned out well.
Before you cringe on my sandals, let me just say that I wore a nude heels during the ceremony. While I do love how it pulled my entire outfit together, I just couldn’t last in those pumps. I think my feet died after just 2 hours of wearing it. I immediately changed into flats during the reception.
Speaking of heels, I am currently searching for the perfect silver heels for yet another wedding that I’ll be attending to come December. I’ve been searching online and spotted a few gems that caught my attention, like this sexy strappy one that I found at Zalora. I’ll definitely Stand out and tall with confidence in these Heels from Zalora.
That’s just it for now! I hope you’re having a lovely morning, afternoon, evening; wherever you are in the world! 🙂
