The Face Shop Color My Eye Brow
A few weeks ago, I purchased The Face Shop Color My Eye Brow. I’ve read some positive reviews about it so I went ahead and gave it a go.
I got the 02 Light Blonde – a neutral blonde brown shade that doesn’t have red undertones. It has a gel-like consistency, that unfortunately, doesn’t fully coat my eyebrow strands. You’ll see what I mean at the end of this post. Nonetheless, I like how it lightens the hair of my brows.
The spoolie that it comes with is quite ingenius. It’s nothing like any other brush I’ve tried before. As you can see, the brush has two sides; the flat side is used to apply/pack the product, while the longer side is used to spread the product.
Everyday Eyebrow Routine (Using The Face Shop Color My Eye Brow)
I’ve been asked many times before on how I do my brows. Apparently, for most people, I do have good looking brows. I have to commend myself for that as I did practice a lot to be able to master the art of eyebrow grooming.
But here’s something you should know: my brow routine is as simple as ABC! There’s nothing special about it, really. Although I would say, properly shaped (bare) brows is key to everything.
Before anything else, if your brows are out of shape, I suggest getting them done at a brow salon such as Browhaus. If you’re not skilled enough, please, by all means, drop that tweezer and let the pros handle the dirty work for you! Trust me, it’s worth it.
Here’s how I do my everyday brows
- Brush the strands with a clean spoolie and fill them in with a pencil. I do this in order to have a solid color. Since I have thick strands, it’s difficult for the brow gel to cling on to every strand, resulting to uneven looking brows.
I used Givenchy Eyebrow Show #1 (Brunette Show) in the photo above. Remember what I said about having properly shaped eyebrows? When your brows are well-groomed, all you have to do is simply draw following the natural shape of your arches.
2. Apply brow gel. Spread and blend evenly unto the strands to diffuse the color.
3. Finally, come in with a clean spoolie and continue blending to achieve natural looking brows.
As you can see, the brow gel did lighten my brows, but the black strands are still peeking through. It’s not too obvious from afar though, so it’s fine.
And that’s basically it for my daily eyebrow routine (a.k.a when I’m out to do errands). I change things up a bit for events and special occasions, but it’s just a matter of using a more reliable eye brow products. For the most part, I do my brows in less than 5 minutes.
What about you? How do you groom your brows?
