I was strolling around the mall the other day when I heard my first ever Christmas song for this year – “All I Want for Christmas” by Mariah Carey. It made me smile knowing that my favorite time of the year is just around the corner. As I walked around, I thought about the things that I’d like to buy myself this Christmas. It sounds too materialistic, but admit it, don’t we all yearn to give ourselves a little treat after a year of hard work? After all, that’s what 13th month pays are for (*wink*).
So, I’ve listed some things in my wishlist that hopefully, I’d be able to buy before the year ends. Or if I’m lucky,
my husband a generous soul might stumble upon this list and make my wish come true.
Nikon 50mm F/1.8 Lens
I’m no profesh photographer, not even a hobbyist, but I do know a thing or two about camera lenses. As a beauty blogger (and sometimes lifestyle/travel blogger) having sharp, crisp, and professional looking photos matter a lot to me. As much as possible, I try to produce blog worthy photos using my Nikon D3200, but sometimes the kit lens (18-55mm) it came with just doesn’t cut it. I’ve seen sample photos of the 50mm F/1.8 lens and they are beautiful! I recon, the bokeh it produces is just perfect for my product shots.
Pink Instax Mini 8
This is something I’ve been wanting to buy for the longest time, because really, who doesn’t want a Polaroid camera? And a pink one, at that!
Another thing that I’ve been wanting to tick off my wishlist is a ukelele. Music has been a big part of my life ever since I was a kid. While I do love my classical guitar, I feel there’s something special about a ukelele that I’m easily drawn to. The sound it creates is so bright and beautiful – reminds me of summer days along the beach.
Secret Garden by Johanna Basford
Yes, I’m joining the bandwagon. I’ve recently purchased two adult coloring books. I decided to give them a try just to see if it’s something that I’d be really interested in. Well, I’m hooked! Now, I can’t wait to get my grubby hands on Basford’s Secret Garden!
Slip On Shoes
For someone who practically lives in flat shoes, it comes as a surprise to me that I don’t own a basic slip on. I’ve got my eye on this Petal Grosgrain Light Pink slip on from Toms. I hope this baby makes its way to my shoe rack come December. =)
Aside from having my own wishlist, I’ve also started listing down gifts that I want to buy for the people I love. It’s always good to start early than be sorry later on, right? Good thing, ZALORA will soon have awesome Christmas gift ideas for you to beat the holiday rush! This is a great way to accomplish your gift list and you don’t even have to walk around for hours just to find the perfect gift! You can shop right in the comforts of your home, even with your pajamas still on. I am definitely keeping my eye on this.
How about you, what’s your Christmas wishlist?
