Eye of Horus Cosmetics – Now in Davao

I first heard about Eye of Horus from Liz of Project Vanity and her positive review got me interested in trying out the product. Unfortunately, it’s not available in retail stores here in Davao. Although it’s available online through Glamour Box , I never got around to purchasing one.

Fast forward to last week, I got an invitation to the press launch of Eye of Horus here in Davao. It came at a perfect time because I am on a (slightly) makeup buying mood lately.

Learn more about the brand after the cut

Eye of Horus is a revered magical symbol in Ancient Egypt, which is believed to bring wisdom, protection, and prosperity. It is also known as a symbol for royal power and good health.

Horus was the Ancient Egyptian sky god who was usually depicted as a falcon. The eye symbol represents the marking around the eye of the falcon, including the “teardrop”marking that’s sometimes found below the eye.

Ancient Egyptians were known to have those heavily lined eyes using natural waxes and oils. Their eyes are usually lined into the shape of the Eye of Horus.

Ms. Amy Lennane, one of the Co-Founders of Eye of Horus, flew in from Australia to join us during the press launch. Here she is talking about their best-selling products.

EOH is an Australian brand of eye makeup that was created for those with brittle lashes and sensitive eyes. Their products are fortified with Beeswax, Ricebran, Candelilla and Carnuba Wax, and Moringa oil. These ingredients help lengthen, volumize, and nourish the eyes and lashes in a budge-proof formula that’s non-irritating.
Ms. Lia Andrea Ramos, Co-Founder and CEO of Glamour Box Inc. was also there to grace the occasion.
As of the moment, their makeup range only include a mascara, liquid define eyeliner, and the cult-favorite, Goddess pencil eyeliner. By 2015, the brand is going to introduce eyeshadow palettes and eyebrow products.
One of the 4 palettes that will come out next year. Off the bat, these shadows are super creamy and pigmeted! You gotta keep an eye on them! 🙂
Look at those eye shadow swatches. See what I mean?

Oh, I forgot to mention that they recently released flash tattoos! I got to try it during the launch. How cool is that? 🙂

The brand was first launched in Manila in November 2013 with Glamour Box as its official distributor. At present, EOH is now available in 25 retail stores including Martish Store and Sun Lab Davao, the official distributor in Davao City.

So there you go. I am super excited to try out their famous pencil liner!
