2013 Product Favorites

I’ve never ever done any Monthly Favorites post before simply because I don’t use a lot of products and that I keep on using the same things over and over again. But since I think some of my favorite products are noteworthy ( for me, atleast), I thought I’d round them up through this year-end product favorites. Maybe you’d also find them interesting and worth trying! =)

I told you that I don’t use a lot of products, so I only have a few here:

OMG Nail Colors in Mojito – Not gonna lie, I’m obsessed with this color (as if the photo can’t speak for itself). Feel free to judge.  It’s so rare to find a teal/sea green nail polish, but I’m glad OMG carries one, at such an affordable price, at that.

2013 made me realize that I have a flair for nail art. I pushed my potential to see how far I could go and I was happy with the result. However, my eagerness and aggressiveness to create made my nails suffer. They became yellow and brittle; they don’t even look like nails anymore. I told myself, if I really want to continue practicing nail art, I should take good care of my canvass. And so I did by purchasing products that kept my nails in great shape.

Bobbie Nail Polish Remover  – This is the best nail polish remover that I’ve ever tried using. It only contains 30% acetone. It doesn’t dry up my skin. And the best part is, it removes nail polish effectively without leaving that annoying white film that most acetone-based nail polish removers leave behind.

Bobbie Cuticle Oil – I use it every after taking a bath and whenever I feel like my cuticles are starting to flake.

Grape Bella Hand Cream by Watsons – To keep my hardworking hands (and nails) moisturized throughout the day. I love the scent of this! =)

Quick FX No-Shine Mattifier – Probably my best discovery in 2013, as far as beauty is concerned. This is a cheap face primer that does the job right.

My Skin Essentials Revitalizing Day Cream – This baby broke me out during the first week that I road tested it, but after continuous usage, it finally adjusted to my skin. I love how it has a matte finish and has a decent amount of SPF. Over time, I  noticed that it made my skin brighter and tighter. I should write a full review on this! (mental note).

ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder – The blusher is perhaps one of the prettiest blushers I have. It’s a coral pink shade that’s very similar to NARS Orgasm. It has micro-shimmers that gives your skin an instant glow.

These three are the most abused lipsticks in my stash last year. Not surprising because I’m all about MLBB’s and these just fit the bill.

In2It Moisture Intense Lipstick in Tawny – Warmed up nude caramel shade that’s perfect for morenas
Palladio Herbal Lipstick in Smokey Rose – Brownish pink with a hint of mauve (the perfect MLBB for my lips)
BYS Longwear Lipstick in Blushed – Rosy pink with subtle brown undertone

Chloé EDP – I stole this from Yuan’s room (with his permission, of course). This is his mom’s but it’s been lying around his room for years now, hence the rusty metal part of the bottle. I took the liberty of putting it to good use by taking it home with me. LOL! I’m inlove with this scent. I’m not good in describing perfumes but I would say this smells like baby powder with tons of floral notes in it – think roses and peony. It’s very feminine and I feel very pretty whenever I wear it. And just look at that travel-sized bottle! So dainty! =)

And that’s about it!. How about you? What are the products that made it to your “2013 favorites list”?

Same here. If I do it monthly I'll probably be posting only 1 item, or worse — none. I used to have mojito too and it's almost the same color as Caronia On The Go, but I like the former. happy new year julz!

Found another one that's almost the same as mojito; I can't even tell the difference. It's from Chic called Noni Green.

Happy New Year, too, Rae! =_)

Hi Anne Marie, go for Palladio (the middle one). The finish is satin bordering matte, so it's more longer-lastin. It can get a lil' pinkish though, but overall, a really great MLBB shade. =)
